I had a 1:160 speckled Ana titer. I was tested for all rhumatologist diseases and Everything was negative.
My igm was high at 286. I have been on famvir for 2 months. I still don't feel any better. I think it may be my adrenals. My thyroid is normal. Did 24 hour pee test all adrenal stuff is normal.

I still feel fluish and my heart rate is still high. My doctor doesn't have an answer. Any internet slulths have anything I can bring back to my dr?

A result like this should be taken seriously and worked up further as it can be associated with blood cancers in a small amount of cases. More often I believe it can just be a monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). It depends on if the increase is poly or monoclonal, and if your IgG and IgA levels are affected as well or not. It could also be due to an autoimmune disease or infection, depending on the other results.

I'd recommend reading this and discussing it further with your doctor.

Thank you, all of my results have been normal and my WBC was high and then went down. I did have a positive ebv test. But I'm not getting any better on 2 months of famvir and I have a slightly enlarged spleen and a 97.9 temp. I don't have swollen glands in my body... which is weird

I also have a raised IGM - ben like that for a couple of years now and I also had a speckled low positive ANA showing,
My M.E Dr says I have chronic infections and that's why the IGM is high. The NHS Dr just ignores it. Due to MCAS I cant treat the infections so I just carry on being ill...

Oh my that's so awlful. I don't know how NHS works. But can you see another immune specialist? Also can you take antihistamines?

No, I cant see another specialist. My GP is the gatekeeper of all specialists and its up to them who I see. We don't have an immunologist in my area at all - My GP has refused further referrals as I have 'seen enough specialists'.

I am on antihistamines and a mast cell stabiliser for the MCAS.

Maybe it's just the American in me. But no is not an answer when it comes to my health. I am hoping you have tried and see a different GP or try calling NHS to find a workaround.

I am assuming you have to be referred to see a specialist. I don't know you or NHS. But this is unacceptable.
