I believe recording would be illegal without the notification and consent of all participants due to some states having two party laws.

Hopefully either the NIH records and distributes it, or everyone involved takes good notes and shares them with the community.
Thanks for pointing that out, Caledonia. We don't have such a law in the UK, so it's not something that we think about. Edit: actually, according to Wikipedia, we do have such a law, but I wasn't aware of it.
