I believe recording would be illegal without the notification and consent of all participants due to some states having two party laws.

Thanks for pointing that out, Caledonia. We don't have such a law in the UK, so it's not something that we think about. Edit: actually, according to Wikipedia, we do have such a law, but I wasn't aware of it.

All somebody has to do is ask Marian Emr at NINDS whether it's OK to record it. She's leading the call.
