I think I might try LDN at some point in the not so distant future.
Is there a doctor in the UK that anyone can suggest to get a prescription? Or preferably, is there anyway I can get it on the internet?
I would want to start on the tiniest amount possible as I have chronic insomnia and EVERYTHING seems to disrupt my sleep.
I have searched through all the information but it is puzzling.
Does anyone in the UK have any they want to sell? Am I allowed to ask this?
The thing is I would probably only try a tiny amount and realise it is not for me so I so don't want to be spending a lot of money on acquiring this drug. I know that you all understand where I am coming from.
Any suggestions very welcome.

I'm not from UK so I can't comment on doctors, but there's an UK based website you can obtain the prescription from (link).

LDN totally screwed up my sleep when I took it at night.

There is another pharmacy to get naltrexone. I'll look for it and post the link. But it's probably at least $100 USD to get some

Why would you want this? Antiviral?immune modulator? There might be other things that would work. What's your goal?

I have high thyroid antibodies and been ill for twenty years with all sorts of health issues. I wanted to try LDN as thyroid specialists talk about it.
It will probably only make me ill though.
Thank you to all that replied.

Thank you Jes. You have made me life a lot easier.
Im still undecided about whether to take it or not. The results seem so mixed and I am soon prone to insomnia.

Hi digital dog,
Amalgam removal and selenium have also been shown in studies to decrease thyroid antibodies.

LDN has been ranked among the most efficient CFS treatments, so why not try it? I think it's very good in particular if you have autoimmune tendencies and the side effects are minimal for most people. For me it actually improved sleep after the first couple of days.

Jess that is interesting. It actually improved your sleep? Now that would be really exciting.
I think I will probably end up giving it a go as it is said to be good for autoimmune problems. I have to wait a while as I am too ill at present but in a few months I will look more into it. I will also read about your experiences on here.
Helen thank you for your reply. I take selenium and have had my amalgams removed. I've only taken selenium for two weeks and have stopped as something awful has happened but I think that was the glutamine so I will go back on selenium soon...another week or so hopefully.
