Melatonin and Benzodiazepines

I was looking the Mayo Clinic website on melatonin and saw that it said not to take it with CNS depressants such as benzos and alcohol because it may increase sedation.

Well it's good that it may increase sedation if a person is not getting to sleep!
I recommend a glass of beer + 1 klonopin + melatonin. LOL

I am taking a benzo and I sometime take a sleep aid with a very low dose of melatonin. I do not intend to stop. I think I'll pass on the beer, though. I just thought people should make informed decisions.

I use darkness therapy to get my body to produce its own melatonin instead, and it works a treat. On the rare occasions when I need something else to help me sleep, I'm fine with a benzo. I don't drink.
