Marlènes results of methylation, organic acids and sulphur metabolites

My doctor injects me since several months again weekly with procaine (neural therapy). A few sessions ago she occassionally added Bryophyllum argento cultum D2 form Weleda when she discovered I was low in copper. She's convinced my metabolism is very sluggish, my brain is intoxicated and a heavy metal burden is part of the problem. She's not a specialist in vitamin B12 but is aware of my new lab results, intentions and protocol to lift the methylation block. Every time it gave me a boost for 36 hours.

I went through a pretty rough period the last few weeks. Something was changing in my metabolism. I could be "busy" (light activities such as reading) for a few hours but then I would collaps out of the blue. My muscles without a tone, even often unable to speak, only whisper for many hours. The pain was often horrible. I took sleeping pills to make it through the night to keep away the negative thoughts that automatically pop up when the pain becomes unbearable.

For some reason I tried the methylation protocol twice during that period. Not sure if it made the symptoms worse but the filler magnesium stereate in some of the supplements such as vitamine C or potassium I chose was an instant migraine trigger. The 1/4 tablet of vit B12s I guess was responsible for the total body collapse. I was in another world and unable to move.

Anyway the doctor added the Bryophyllum argento cultum D2 last week and I feel like so much better again. For the first time in 4 years I walked nearly 1 mile with my children yesterday and I drove the car 4 times further than my maximum distance. We had a great time together.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I hope the vit B12 did actually do some healing even if it was just a little bit and a difficult start.

You're absolutely right Freddd.

Ok here I am again. I tried the crumb (1/10) of vit B12 and 400 mcg of folate every two days. Then I tried to increase the dose slightly (1/6). That went well apart from becoming very emotional (irritation, anger).

My body smell changed drastically too in a week time. Very bad bweerk. Sweating all night long as if I have fever. Is it a coincidence? Should I go back to 1/10 or do something else in particular?

I feel emotionally quite vulnerable, as if on the edge of a nervous breakdown. I hope it passes quickly.

Hi Marlene;

I find that having zinc with copper is helping enormously with my lung infections, migraines, mood disorders and more. Even though they are considered to be antagonistic to each other, they perform many similar functions. I think they are both vital, but that too much of one may cancel the effect of the other. I take 15 mg. zinc with 1mg. copper.

Folate is involved with copper metabolism and zinc is involved with folate metabolism. After adding zinc for a time, I was able to increase folate. It's very powerful, this folate.

hello Crux

it must be powerful indeed. My hands are shaking since a few days and I'm upset when a fly passes by. I'm very deficient in copper so your comment is much appreciated.

Hi Marlene,

A common effect of low b12 is being cold all the time. I too had a lot of sweating as my metabolism changed. I also found that my formerly used covers were way too much at night with mb12. My body doesn't cool off at night the way it used to. Then when my body wakes up and the metabolism kicks into daytime mode I start sweating, just like when I was a teenager.

Your body smell may change over and over as the composition of your sweat is affected by nutrients and even change of season and clothing. Also, when I started coming out of the edema with methylfolate the first couple of times, the smell of my urine and sweat changed considerably for a while.

That went well apart from becoming very emotional (irritation, anger).

In at least some folks that have these emptional responses, they are an effect of of the nutrients on the limbic system in the brain as it comes back on. These specific emotions you mention appear to be on the downside od ceratin nutrients and success was had at managing it through dosage and timing. The mb12 and carnitine had to be split up into 3 doses or more, same total dose, but spread out, to manage upside and downside emotions.

I would like to report some good news after 2 months of trial and error.

In the beginning it was very difficult to find the right start up dosage. First my limbs were like paralysed, then had Parkinson-like tremors for days. As if I could not stand the dibencozide at all. L-Carnitine made my psychotic. It took me two months to figure out what to do.
My husband and kids did not understand a thing anymore.

After a few emails with Freddd it became clear I had to start up very slowly with the methyl B12, about 1/10.
So I did, every three days. When I felt confident, I went to every two days and slowly increasing the dose (1/8, 1/6, ...) together with 400mg folic acid.

At this moment I take 1/2 = 2500 mcg methyl B12 (Jarrow Formulas) let's say daily, that's half a tablet as well as 1 tablet of methyl B12 (EnzymaticTherapy 1000 mcg) together with 800 mg of folic acid.

The dibencozide is for a second phase. When I'm at full speed with methyl B12, I will add the dibencozide.

I discovered recently that L-carnitine is contra-indicated when you take thyroid medication. I did not take anything but it gave me a hint to have a closer look at it. That's the reason why I started taking nascent iodine (6 drops on an empty stomach) and raw thyroid now and it seems to be an excellent choice. I've never felt better in years. My eyes look bright again. Last week I did not take a single nap during daytime for the first time since 2003 (bedridden since 2008).

My brainfog is not gone yet, too early to expect miracles :) I'm still unable to count or do logical thinking, write a lot of mistakes. A neurologist confirmed damage to my vestibular last week as well. The tingling in my hands are however much better, my feet as well. The pain is slowly fading away in my muscles. I guess I need to add a good vitamine C to rebuild the cartilage in my joints again. Last scan showed major spondyloartritis-like errosion in all my joints except my knees. Tendinitis is confirmed in major muscles because of calcium deposit in tissue instead of bones. I haven't figured out how to reverse that.
