Success! from GCMAF
These two patients of Doctor Enlander have had "significant improvement in such a short period of time compared to other ME/CFS/CFIDS treatments"
Patient 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueqHbhD5q4c&feature=channel_video_title
Patient 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAUHbSG7HEY&feature=relmfu

Also, Doctor Bell talks about the new discovery (the cancer drug)

Doctor Peterson on new foundation, pilot studies, investigating cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) in M.E/CFIDS patients

I've really seen so much CHANGE! these past few days. New research, new drugs, international attention, action to take down CDC "CFS" out-dated information, its all so exciting. I don't want to get any ones hopes up, but the tides are surely in our favor now.

Thanks for posting livingwithcfids - with so much research coming together now it has to be the most encouraging time for ME. A personal liking for investigation of cerebrospinal fluids - never doubted since my lumbar puncture something should have been revealed then.

Dr. Bell's world, in this case, could use some expansion. I've been sick more than twenty-five years and gcmaf worked for me better than anything else tried in that time.

Uh, sorry, Dr. Bell, you were referring to a drug, not gcmaf. I should have read the link.

Unfortunately I think he was talking about the new Cancer drug treatment when he says up to 5 years. I'm 10 years in now!

It's interesting to see Dr. Peterson and others talk about what the science is showing now. It's pretty much what ME experts were saying 40 years ago.

Not that I know of. What I read is that an infection of one kind of another was triggering events that led to neuro and immune problems.

The Norwegian doctors who did the study think it indicates ME is an auto-immune disease. This hypothesis has been out there for a long time, but hasn't been researched much, I don't think.

I am optimistic and psyched with all the good news lately!

I think the conversation got mixed up here. I was talking about Ramsey and how it relates to Peterson. Not about the Norwegian study.

Here's an interesting quote in relation to duration of illness and expected response:

With a small study and only 15 patients in each group is too little data to say anything certain about the duration of the disease in relation to response. We'll look at in the new studies.

BINGO boomer, with 1 auto Immune disorder its said that others may be present as well!
If it is not autoimmune then why does this disease happen in families with so much thyroid autoimmune diesase?

If 40%?? of patients themselves have hashimoto thyroiditis, what is the connection? does the infection cause problems mainly in these people?
