Over the last six months (possibly longer), I think that my handwriting has deteriorated, both in its overall appearance and in that sometimes I malform individual letters in the middle of a word (for example, I might be writing the word "label" and the "b" will be malformed). It has got to the point that if I am writing just the few words needed for a cheque, or an address on an envelope, or a greetings card message, I have to concentrate hard to make sure I don't mess it up with an error. It's only now that I can see that this isn't normal and not due to just not writing by hand very often any more.
It started gradually and has deteriorated so I don't think it's a stroke but I'm aware it could be a symptom of other things.
Howver, having googled a bit, I've found this symptom among a list of ME symptoms in an article by Dr Betty Dowsett but I don't remember seeing it anywhere else.
Is this really accepted as an ME symptom? I'm going to my GP tomorrow to ask about it, because if it's something else and treatable I want it investigated but I expect it's the sort of thing that will get me referred to a neurologist or (if I'm unlucky) a neuropsychiatrist and I want to go in well-informed.
