Enhansa

I've read of a couple people who have used/are using Enhansa with some benefit. I started it a couple weeks ago. Initially I felt a little better, then experienced a severe crash for a few days, after which I had a period where I had more energy and stamina than I felt in years. I have since crashed again and in the middle of one now.

I'm also taking Doxy and LDN, so I don't know what if anything is causing the fluctuation in symptoms.

I'll keep updating this thread with my progress, and I'm interested if anyone else is still taking Enhansa or stopped.

I think enhansa enables you to detox much more effectively, doesn't it? So maybe these crashes are periods when your body is going into detox frenzy.

I started doing adrenal repair therapy a bit over two months ago and I am getting these detox attacks. (Increasing your cortisol level also enables you to detox at a much faster rate.) I'll be bedbound for several days with black rings round my eyes, but between whiles I feel better than I have in literally years.

Please keep posting about how this goes. I am very interested to hear more.

I just started using Enhansa about a month ago. It helped relieve the inflammation/pressure in my frontal brain more than anything else I have tried. It also helped me sleep much better, especially the first week I took it. I actually slept 10 hours straight one night, which I haven't done since.... I can't even remember.

I am currently at 4 capsules/day. And I am also using the TD-glutathione, and doing some of the methylation supp's. AND... last weekend I caught (ANOTHER!) damn flu bug, so right now it's hard to judge what's what.

Will see what happens next.

Thanks guys for the input. Athene that is how I've been since starting taking Enhansa. I've been able to go out more often than before, and enjoy being out, without crashing if I am careful not to overdo it. However there are periods where a lot of old symptoms return with a vengeance, and I'm knocked out. Time will tell if Enhansa is causing this, but I am going to keep at my dose (150 2x/day) until things steady out (if they do).

I also, since I've been sick, very rarely feel as if I'm "sick" (fever, cough, sore throat), but since starting the Enhansa I've had these symptoms periodically. Nothing major, but definitely new. I've also started to break out a little on my chest, neck, and back (which I had been doing when I was feeling better).

Dream, what is 4caps/day work out to in mg? Like I said I'm taking 300mg/day total. Do you plan on continuing it?

So this weekend I was able to attend a barbecue and help with the cooking, but I stayed out too late and am paying for it now (I think that's the cause!). but I plan on continuing the 300mg/day for the forseeable future.

Hi Christopher,
I've been having fewer and briefer crashes by increasing some of my methylation supplements. I think the detox is going so fast the body just runs out of things it needs. I am having more B12 and more vitamin C. I think I still need to experiment because there is something else still lacking, but this has definitely improved things. I am also making sure I drink loads and loads of water which makes a big difference too.

I also went out one evening and overdid it by staying too late. But it was so much fun being able to actually socialise for the first time in literally months! I think suddenly improving in one giant leap makes it hard to pace yourself - there's a bit of try-it-and-see to figure out just how much you can cope with doing per day.

Anyway I hope you carry on feeling good on this stuff. It's such good news to hear when someone really improves.

I have been eating turmeric my whole life, and have also tried curcumin from life extension, but never noticed any improvement in my symptoms. Recently started taking 400 mg sam-e(leaves and Rich recommended this in another thread), and 1000 mg inositol( my cellular level was excellent) and I cant believe how much I have improved without even crashing. So, I guess it is not a bad idea if you also try these two. A combo of carnitine and ubiquinol coq was also helping a little ,before I try these new supplements. Will surely try Enhansa.

Hi Christopher--

Each capsule is 150 mg, so that is 600 mg/day, which I think is too much. I'm cutting back down to 3 caps now--450 mg.

I have a had another in a long series of flu bugs, which came on after I started the Enhansa. I wish it would help that, but so far it has not.

Anyone else taking enhansa? I'm still taking it, but a couple of weeks ago I crashed bigtime and haven't really recovered. However that was when I started to get intermittent flu-like symptoms such as sore throat, slight cough and feeling feverish, which continue. So i don't know if I am fighting infection and that is why i'm feeling ill, but it is trying. i believe that it has effects on me so i will continue it.

dream, i also rarely feel "sick" and also break out when feeling better (face and chest). perhaps we should compare our symptoms we may have some commonalities.

Hi Christopher, this sounds more like you are having cyclic inflammatory hormone swings. Something is driving that. I am too sick at the moment to say more, hope to comment again later. Bye, Alex

I am still taking Enhansa, at much higher doses--6 capsules/day, so that's 900 mg/day. I am also taking some very strong anti-viral herbs, and occasional methylation supp's. So it would be hard to sort out what is doing what....

I am noticing a lot of up and downs with my viral issues. Better, worse, a lot worse, a lot better, worse again.... on and on. I am going with the flow and adjusting what needs to be adjusted, when it needs adjusting.

Enhansa has not cause me any MAJOR problems, but it does cause some flu-like detox symptoms, as do the other things I am taking, so that has been one of the things I've had to manage.

Thanks dream. I just ordered another bottle of the 150mg capsules. I've always had intermittent sore throats, but since I started Enhansa they've felt more of a viral nature, and I'm also getting other new flu-like symptoms as well. Hope it's a good sign but who knows? My fatigue and brain have been a lot worse since it started.

Are you on rich's simple meth. protocol? What herbs are you taking?

thx

what is enhansa??

cheers!!!

Cheers. Enhansa is a curcumin supplement that Lee Silsby sells. they say it's more absorbable than standard curcumin supplements, but who knows? It's marketed for autistic patients, and since curcumin has action against nf kappa b, which the WPI says is helpful against XMRV, it's worth a shot.

I am taking both the hydroxo B12 and the methyl B12, alternating as I need to. I am also taking the Folapro.

As for the anti-viral herbs, those are formulated for me by a TCM practitioner, who changes the formula regularly based on my symptoms.

Hi, the cyclic crashing is familiar to me as I said earlier. This happened to me again and again through the 90s on an experimental protocol that involved antioxidants and regulated fat intake. The science behind it is that the eicosanoid hormones are regulated by enzymes that rely on reduced glutathione.

First I think you are accelerating the use of a harmful substrate, so you feel worse. Then you run out, and shift to a different symptom mix. I am not sure you are actually improved, but the shift in symptoms will indeed feel much better.

In my case the substrate was arachidonic acid, an omega 6 fat, and the key enzyme was cyclooxygenase. It could be the same here or some other pathway or another point in the pathway. I only mentioned this because of the similarities.

Bye
Alex

I have been taking Enhansa in the powder form for about 5 weeks, currently about 150mg. I have not had any drastic worsening of my symptoms, though I have had occassional short-lived additional flu-like flares while taking it. It is helpful with reducing certain types of pain I have (what I call the 'inflammation pain' and 'nerve pain').

Can other posters on this thread taking it longer post an update? Thank you.
