I am putting together a list of doctors and researchers who know enough about this disease that they might be helpful in providing information or comments to the media.

FYI, here is the project I'm working on.

http://www.change.org/petitions/upd...and-economic-climate-re-me-and-cfs#signatures

I have the list below as a starter. Are there are other people who should be included?

Thanks much for your help!

Best, Lisa

Dont think Sing or Mikovits are practicing md's??

A number of people on the list aren't MDs but I think the OP is just asking for people who have knowledge of ME/CFS and can provide media with accurate facts and impressions about ME/CFS.

Fred Friedberg - IACFS President and psychologist
Gudrun Lange -- neuropsychologist
Andy Kogelnik -- Infectious disease doc
Joseph Brewer - Infectious disease doc in ?Kansas City
Peter Rowe -- pediatrician at Johns Hopkins
Alison Bested -- in Toronto but I leave this up to people who have seen her
Bruce Campbell -- behavioral psychologist who runs cfidsselfhelp.org (had CFS himself for several years and knows what behavioral psychology can or can't do)
Alan and Kathy Light at University of Utah

Dr. Laura Black. She is at Hunter Hopkins Center with Dr. Lapp and she is very good. I'm sure she has has more clinic hours than Dr. Lapp over the last 5 years.

and how about Leonard Calabrese? see PMID 8148449, 9599909, 15351380 ... however no current work. maybe someone should phone him and ask some questions before adding him to the list: http://my.clevelandclinic.org/staff_directory/staff_display.aspx?doctorid=337

Another like this is Eng Tan. See PMID 11958593, 9041942, 8878441. http://vivo.scripps.edu/display/TanEng
This would be a great scientist to draw back into an interest in ME/CFS: http://www.curearthritis.org/research/in-honor-3-specific-awards

Another person who hasn't researched ME/CFS in a while is G Nicholson. PMID 12887507, 12423773, 10691196

Should we have our Drs permission before posting it here? How about if we don't know exactly what our Drs stance is, but they have helped you a lot?!
