SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

Comments

I had a conversation once with a friend who knew me before I became ill. She tried to encourage me that Matisse continued to produce art when very ill towards the end of his life. Matisse had assistants/carers who did what he couldn't. When I choose to think about it it's depressed me ever since. It's interesting what you write about the image of the artist, because I think 'the artist' is invisible or kind of 'mythical'. I'm probably not articulating well. I like this blog post. Be who you are.

Fab blog Helly, I could relate to so much of what you have written here and of course the doing your art in bed thing surrounded by pillows, medication, water and dark glass, duvet covered in pencils, crayons, paints etc. its a funny old world that we inhabit from our beds
