Solstice

I returned for solstice…

To share a healing dance
And rhythm
To thank the sun

… to live in the light
✨☀️✨

Thank you to each of you for shining your inner light with the world in your own ways 🦋 stay golden star shines 💛

Healing dance

Solar rhythm in my heart today 💛✨

"The edge of the solstice,
the barren darkness,
the wheel.
Nature knows
that every cycle
must return to stillness and silence.
That every inhale has an exhale.
That every ending births a beginning.
That the light
always returns
to a future
beyond imagination."

~ Victoria Erickson

A rose from my hobbit garden, one of the last things i planted in 2016 :) Quite special to me.
It grows on a circular iron hobbit trellis over a stone path i laid with my dad.

Love,
☀️

I adore the sun ☀ and the changing seasons. It's quite incredible that the longest day is here already.
As we circle around the sun and spin in the galaxy. Within it all held by a divine power.. In the light... Blessed.

Such a beautiful Rose.
The scent of the rose is the best smell in the world! As a young girl I would put the petals in a jar with water to make perfume.
Maybe as the rose moves on in its life cycle you could have it with u in your bedroom.. Make a pattern or something with the petals..

Such a beautiful rose
I can’t describe how special they are to me.
Roses hold a special place in my heart.

I love that! I was just teaching my daughter yesterday how when the spirit needs strengthening or sadness is loud, Rose oil over the thymus or heart or rose tea is so beneficial. 🙏 🌹 I spray rose water on my face sometimes. For my birthday last week, I was able to have my first cake since 2016! And to go with it, I made rose lemonade. Yes! I DID the lemonade. I boiled rose tea leaves then squeezed 8 lemons and combined with some natural sugar. It was such a treat for my senses. Unlike anything I’ve had in years. You can get quite crafty in bed with a little strength 😂 it’s seriously funny to think of how much life I live in this bed.

Also, every day around 4-5 pm is rainbow hour on my ceiling. It brings me joy. Maybe you too 🌈 It’s a window charm my friends niece hung up for me last summer.

What a lovely post, thank you!

The tea sounds so lovely, @sunshine44 I must try to make some.

Matillija Poppies are abloom here. The largest flower in North America, I think....I wonder if a perfume could be made of those petals. (milk of the poppy, instead?)

I recently saved every one of the Christmas Cactus flowers, they dried and I filled a little bowel with them.

Thank you rufous! 😃

I boiled 1/4 cup rose petals in 2? Cups water (edible, no chemicals etc) then had help straining water. I added it to the juice of 8 squeezed lemons, 4? Cups of water and I splurged and used natural cane sugar since I’ve been without sugar for years and years now mostly. Stir annndd yummmm. Can also use wild violets instead for a purple rendition. Flowers carry medicinal frequency. Feels so good to do this again sometimes!!!

Oh neat idea! Do poppies have a fragrance? I know nothing of them beyond that they are popular in the production of certain sedatives. Ha.

Awww, I love your cactus story!
I bet it’s so beautiful. Take a picture and share with us if you remember.

Annndd happy birthdaaayyy!! I hope you had moments of peace and comfort and maybe even joy when looking at your flowers. I’m sorry to hear you are on the mend still after all of your experimentation. I certainly know how that goes. Sending you healing vibes. 🙏💗

Have you noticed that many roses no longer smell, as smell was deleted from qualities they were selecting for....

I assume roses which smell lovely would be best?

Do poppies have a fragrance?

I will try to find out. Across the street...I'll schedule a go look at the Poppies.

My daughter tells me my nose doesn't work correctly....(nah, why would that be the case?) So maybe I'll also ask her opinion.

I normally try to go to nature on birthdays (last year, perhaps I had a dental appointment)...but I've not been making it there, much lately.

Yes I got far to run down from the experiments and other "factors". Canceled most of it.

go to nature on birthdays

For a period of time, I lived near a beautiful stream, that flowed year round and flooded dramatically in winters.

I'd visit the creek on my birthdays. I'd hop on the giant boulders, and try to sneak up on the turtles. They have acute hearing.

I met a baby merganser, one birthday. (fish eating duck) Swimming underweath the water, looking for a fish, it surfaced. Birds swimming under water happens to be a "thing" that I love to observe. (grebes, a loon once)

Another time, I managed to get onto a big boulder without making any noise and turtle number one was swimming with an unfortunate mouse, followed by turtle number 2.

Or, I'd watch the damsel flies. I took 100s of pictures of them.

Happy Birthday to any and all celebrating during these summer months. At the very least, I hope you escape the tornados and other things that seem to have become fixtures in our seasons.

Have some of Sunshine's lemonade and Rufous' poppy specialty. Yours, L.

Oh, lovely memories rufous.
I remember when my son was little and we just moved by my family that we went to my brothers and they had a rescue grebe duckling. It was so sweet to watch how it swam for food. We got to help care for it till they released it.
