"Smelled Brussel sprouts cooking for first time this morning! Also first sitbourne smell besides the floral"

here you go!

Excelt today have t noticed any smells

Im not a happy camper. Lymph nodes on my neck ate tender for first time and last night my throat waa hurting abd looked red on the sides maybe new phase of trying to get rid of the now chronic smoldering sinus infection

And today after finally leaving hone after 4 days, i was getting short of breath. I think is heart rather than lungs. I do mot think is deconditioninb

I can try going to a doc but what far- he can verify the tenderness is lymph nodes, he can verify my throat is rid, he can verify my mose is crusty and he can (most likely) verify my chest sounds fine when im sitting down inside. And orice for that? Exhaustion, stress, et

Ugh, you've been dealing with this for far too long @vision blue. I truly hope you get on top of this SOON! After all, the spring equinox is Monday. Maybe that will be a turning point for you and you'll start to rebound!

@Nord Wolf Thanks. I think 20-30 percrnt of covid folks take more than two weeks to go back to baseline. Guess im glad i survived at al and kept out of an ICU and time will tell what this spinning the roulette wheel will do to cfs and ai disease. I thinknif i didnt get the confound of the classic bacterial sinus superinfection things woukdnt be as muddy -eg at this point who knows if so
E of olfactory loss is just clogged and inflamed nasal passages

I haven't seen any updates on recovery of yiu h1n1 so hoping thats coming along swimmingly. Still woukd love to see your labs from the ER unless of course takes too mych energy to post or PM me. Be well and yes lets say the equinox will wash free all the lingering bad miasma.

i am a fan of that theory. especially its nothing special. many folks who get clogged nose from normal cold have this problem. so lets be normal for once hopefully.

i hate clogged nose, i get it everytime i press my nose on the bed sheet. sometimes i'd like to burn this whole cloth garbage and run around naked and sleep on a raw stone ground!

@vision blue - I pasted this in your other blog post called Went to the store today - day 19 of covid on March 7th. But I'll post it again here for you. You asked for the results of the CBC test.

Perhaps not "swimmingly", but I working on it. I've been free of illness symptoms for weeks now, but my energy depletion and dysautonomia/ME/PoTS symptoms have been pretty rough since recovering from influenza. My energy took a big hit with the H1N1, and this is a poor time of year to regain any real energy; no strong sunlight, damp, windy, still 3 feet of snow on the ground...
But I did manage to get a visual evoked potential test done last week. I will post those results in my thread called Blindness, vision issues & dysautonomia.

Next week I will have a telahealth consult with my one neurologist to discuss the results, since they seem to be written in code!

The first week of April I need to go in for a 2 hour autonomic test, then an eye doc visit and more tests... whew. But since the VEP test showed up as abnormal, I need more testing.

As to your sinus infection, or lingering one - I had a sinus infection from last Sept to late Nov. What finally kicked it out was Olive Leaf nasal spray. Worked wonders for me!

@Nord Wolf tge springvequinox here and i was able to stroll in park for first time since Feb 12. I was greeted by many yellow wildflowere and robins , both on the ground (perfect since my head was pointing down...)

I hope your spring started well with h1n1 a fading memory

I tbink i see yku posted results! Thanks much! Look forward to reading

Ne t up for me is trying to figure or find out if my heart is in danger and what happened in november whwn i exerted mysrlf and got some permwnant change. The geart from covid every day gas lower rate back to pre covid tho still alot of vulnerability. Thinkni may get a polar band to wear on upper arm whichbi think will be better for me than wrist or chest

Have a great spring

@Nord Wolf Sorry for making you a duplicate test result. I somehow never saw the numbers on that blog post- just the names of the tests. Maybe i missed a post- will look again (there afe no alerts for comments in blog threads) so easy to miss)

Were ykyr electrolytes detanfmged too? They must have been

Your resukts are eye opening. Less than 1 on WBC!! You used up all ykur neutrophils it looks like especially

And whats with those super low platelets? Was all your resouces on producibg wbc?

Look forward to reading your vep results and will jump to the thread. Ive wanted one of those but didnt push for it. And sounds like ykyr making progress by gettingvofficial autonomic trsting- or at least taking a tion. I cant decide if i want to use up low reserved on getting an echocardiogrwm or strolling more in park. Cant do both

I havent been hit with the post serious viral cfs flare yet because the sinusitis still keeping my immune system active and distracted. When it lets gofinally i fear ibwont be able to lewve the bed

Ok will follow ykur vision issues. My brief blondness soells have gone way down after i stopped buyinh my fave mediterraineqn

Oddly not too bad. Not sure why.

Well the doc said the test results are what it looks like when someones immune system just stops fighting and starts to shut down from severe dehydration and exhaustion.

I hear you. Sometimes the decision is tough.

I’ve started my gauntlet of medical specialists as of last week. Last week we drove two hours to Dartmouth where I had a visual evoked provocation tests ordered by neurology. So next week I have a consult with my one neurologist to discuss.

The day after I have a consult with my PCP to discuss further lab testing. The first week of April I go to the dentist, and the day after we drive two hours back over to Dartmouth to have a 2 hour autonomic test done in neurology. The end of that week I go to an audiologist to get my hearing tested. The level of my tinnitus has become so severe it blocks out certain sounds. It also makes my hearing so sensitive I need to wear ear plugs much of the day to block out noises.
The next week I go to the eye doctor who will refer me to an ophthalmologist for further eye testing.
I also had to contact the state Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired. They are opening a case file for me. Mid April I have a formal interview where they will help me get started in assisting programs to help with vision, vision loss, low vision, etc.

Blah! As you can see, it is a gauntlet that has begun. But each test and specialist visit is necessary to a very specific and life disturbing condition that has manifested in the last handful of years. I know in my gut they are all related, and all connected to dysautonomia. But we need test results to show exactly how things line up so we can figure out how to best plan treatment.
When it lets gofinally i fear ibwont be able to lewve the bed
Let us hope that does not happen!

That at least is good news :)
And yes, Happy Spring! Even though we still have over 3 feet of snow on the ground up here... the stars say spring hath begun.

or your immune system gets reset into a healthy state and you get remission.

@vision blue
I was mistaken and looking at the wrong test. I was viewing a test from last year, not the one done at the ER in Feb.

My blood values for diagnosis dehydration were actually off.

Sodium Value- 98 Ref Range - 136-145 mmol/L
Potassium Value-1.4 Ref Range - 3.5-5.1 mmol/L
Chloride Value- 74 Ref Range - 96-107 mmol/L
CO2 Total Value- 17 Ref Range - 21-32 mmol/L
BUN Value- 27 Ref Range - 7-25 mg/dL

So all the electrolytes were very low, and since the BUN was high it shows the kidneys were not functioning properly, mostly likely due to the severe dehydration.
