Where did I put it?
That word, that name, that place.
Where did it go?
I started as I meant to go on,
and it disappeared straight off my tongue.
I opened my mouth,
to let my thought out,
and ten words dissolved into none.
My brain feels all fuzzy and grey,
and none of my words want to stay.
They sit in the back,
show what I lack,
and reappear the following day.
