Adrenal Fatigue - Vitamin C

I've been running into one deficiency after another for months it seems. Just found another I think:

https://www.adrenalfatiguerecovery.com/vitamin-c.html

I think I just ran into this last few days:

"In adrenal fatigue, your adrenal glands "panic" when they don't have enough vitamin C available, and, in what seems like an odd paradox, they release MORE cortisol."

In my case I don't think there was any more cortisol to give hence the "panic"

Additional Info:
"When you are faced with a stressful situation, your vitamin C is rapidly used up in the production of cortisol and related stress-response hormones."

"It also stimulates production of liver detoxifying enzymes that help eliminate toxic waste products from your body, including environmental chemicals you may have been exposed to."

"It is also important in helping your body absorb important trace minerals such as iron and zinc, so you should make sure to have some vitamin C along with your iron or zinc-rich foods and/or supplements."

"Vitamin C is water-soluble, so it is quickly processed and eliminated from your body. It is important to take your vitamin C in smaller (500-1,000mg) doses evenly spaced throughout the day as opposed to one mega-dose. "

"Expect to take anywhere from 2,000mg-5,000mg in a day if you are dealing with adrenal fatigue, and possibly more if you are particularly stressed or feeling under the weather."

"Alcohol, The Pill, smoking, antidepressants and OTC painkillers all dramatically reduce the level of Vitamin C in your body. "

"Vitamin C is Ascorbic Acid, which can cause stomach upset, so you should always take a buffered form to neutralize the acid . Most Vitamin C supplements include bioflavonoids,"

"Of all the vitamins and minerals involved in adrenal metabolism, vitamin C is probably the most important. In fact, the more cortisol made, the more vitamin C used. Vitamin C is so essential to the adrenal hormone cascade and the manufacture of adrenal steroid hormones that before the measurement of adrenal steroid hormones became available, the blood level of vitamin C was used as the best indicator of adrenal function level in animal research studies. Vitamin C is used all along the adrenal cascade and acts as an antioxidant within the adrenal cortex itself."

"As noted above, Vitamin C can be used to chelate (bind to and remove) toxic metals. The problem is that it is also very good at removing important minerals4,5,6. If you have adrenal fatigue, you will already be deficient in some minerals, so you can not afford to lose more."

Tried it many times but never noticed any improvements. I have severe adrenal fatique. Think eating a cup of home made sprouted mungbeans with a little bit oystersauce for taste is a better option then that synthetic vitamine stuff. But If it works for you go for it! Let me know if you feel better. I still have a jar of vit c. I don’t bother anymore. Too busy eating vegetables and sprouting beansprouts feel a lot better now.

Someone I know has severe adrenal issues after a deeply traumatic expereince overseas. We get raw adrenal for him and i t is helping greatly.
