In another thread, somebody alluded that there was a reason for not supplementing too much with DHA - anybody know why? Most generic fish oil supps have a lot more than the only-DHA pills. ?

The only one I know of is that apparently DHA omegas can reduce absorption of the EPA ones, and from what I have read the EPA are the ones we may really need. DHA's seem to be more easily absorbed from food products, etc. too. I use formulas that have a very high concentration of EPA to DHA.

I'm interested to see if there are other reasons out there.
