I know they were shown to be reduced in the Naviaux & Fluge and Mella metabolomic studies...what is your thinking for posting this study?

My thoughts are that it's a good primer on sphingolipid metabolism, but it has a few flaws that make me suspicious of the rest. First, it implies that all acquired metabolic disorders are acquired by diet. It also STILL demonizes saturated fats. It makes me feel as though the stuff that I'm less familiar with may be oversimplified as well. My advice is to read it but go into pubmed and type in 'spingolipids' and 'review' and compare with other literature. :)
