Action for M.E.’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and research conference will be held at Allen & Overy, One Bishops Square, London E1 6AD on Friday 8 November, 10.30am to 4pm.

At the AGM, our Chief Executive Sonya Chowdhury will give an overview of the charity’s activities from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013.

The results of elections for provisionally selected Trustees will also be announced and those voted for by Supporting Members will be formally appointed to the Board.

The AGM will take place as part of our research conference featuring a key note speech from Prof Stephen Holgate, Chair of the UK CFS/M.E. Research Collaborative.

There will also be presentations from the lead researchers on the biomedical projects we are funding, including:
  • Prof Julia Newton, Newcastle University; muscle dysfunction
  • Dr Jason Ellis, Northumbria University; sleep and M.E.
  • Prof Annalena Venneri, University of Sheffield; cognitive impairment associated with fatigue in M.E.
  • Luis Nacul, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine; UK CFS/M.E. biobank
  • Prof Derek Pheby, Buckinghamshire New University; Disease Register.
