BACME conference 2012 - link to short report on Peter White's keynote speech:

The 2012 BACME conference took place at Milton Keynes, 14th & 15th March.

The conference 'keynote address' was provided by Professor of psychiatry, Peter White, St Barts hospital and principal investigator of the PACE trial. Professor White told an audience of doctors and healthcare professionals that pacing should be removed from clinician's lexicon and appeared to blame the charities and patient groups for influencing the NHS clinics against extensive use of CBT and GET.

A brief summary of this lecture for group newsletters etc, is available http://wmmeg.weebly.com/uploads/4/8/6/8/4868611/120424_-_brief_report_on_bacme_conf_2012.pdf . (Permission is given in this case to use the Brief Summary in newsletters etc without acknowledgement to WMMEG (but the website reference/link can be used if required).

Whatever made him think that patient groups don't know more about this disease than he in the first place. Suggest he consult PR and all the very informed people here.
