LOL no you especially cant like that. That's one way to get publicity. I just had to look up where that was taken, its London.
Hehehe, finally the kind of advocacy I get get behind.
She must have been cold.
You should have been on hand with one of your curtains.
I've had to give up on the curtains for the time being until this flare-up passes she could have borrowed half a roll of thermal, blackout curtain lining and finished the ensemble off nicely with a crystal beaded trim...
To win the media game you have to play it. I admire her courage!
The thing I puzzled over was how she managed not to topple over with the blindfold on, as if I shut my eyes and stand up, I think I would keel over.
Not everyone with ME has a positive Romberg sign. When I was severe I used to fall over if I closed my eyes while standing but not currently.
Yes, I suppose I would wobble a lot but not fall over. Doing the blindfold thing made it doubly brave I felt as it increased the vulnerability of not knowing what others were doing around you.
And hold her placard up @mermaid. She has impressive determination and must be having considerable PEM for that.
I'm not sure I'd have got the same reaction she did; I put on two stone and couldn't shave anywhere when I became housebound 6years ago and my wobbly bits haven't seen the sun in a very long time. I'd have ended up sitting in my wheelchair not knowing what to hide with my placard...
Impressive advocacy indeed.

Good on her indeed. I think I read that she had been told by a doctor that her ME was because she had body-image issues...
I'm not that brave!
