Worth seeing an allergist for methylation related histamine intolerance?

Hi all,

I've been posting for awhile that I've been suffering pretty badly with histamine intolerance issues since starting methylation support. I'm getting very tired and frustrated of trying to figure it out on my own, especially with EMF sensitivity that limits my computer time.

I do have good insurance that will cover seeing an allergy specialist. I'm just not sure they'll understand or be sympathetic to histamine intolerance as part of CFS/ME though.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks!

Audrey,

My allergist refuses to diagnose or treat. He said just avoid the foods that bother me and take some antihistamines if I need to. I started being histamine intolerant a year before I started methyation, so for me it's probably not related. Also, I don't have ME/CFS.

My recommendation is to get on the phone and ask if the allergist treats histamine intolerance. If they say "what's that?" call the next number.
