    Good article AND the first comment is from an individual who went undiagnosed until his doc read the IOM report and figured it out. Go IOM committee!

    I wonder how many more people are alive despite medical error. I recently talked to a woman who was very lucky to still be alive despite the appalling neglect she received at an emergency room & hospital. Her doctor told her afterwards that there was a 10% survival rate for the problem that they took 36 hours to diagnose.
