My theory is he is ferociously ambitious and ruthless. Sir Weasley and his ex-chair-of-royal-college-of-GPs will climb on anyones back to get personal status and wealth. His careful media persona, plausibly deniable press releases, and assiduous courting of the power brokers is obvious. Psychosomaticisation just happens to be politically/economically desirable and we are/were an easy target.

Could certainly be true. Where's a whistleblower when we need one?

Maybe we should get together and make a wholesale purchase of whistles, then hand them out to everyone we meet in the health and psychiatric profession!

I have a new pseudoscience checklist, one developed for psychology. When I use it on CBT/GET theories, like PACE, they come out badly yet again. I hope to blog on this at some point.
