What does it take to win any money? 1st place?

Daniel Moricoli, CFS Knowledge Center, posted this message at co-cure:

To everyone those of you who voted for cfsKnowledgeCenter in the Citgo
Fueling Good contest . . .

Thank You. Your efforts are deeply appreciated

The ME/CFS Community failed by just over 200 votes to be among the top five
organizations in our region for the $5.000 awards from the Citgo Oil
Company.

To have the ME/CFS Community come so close to winning but ultimately fail,
is a real disappointment for many.

So, the question arises:

Are our different personal and organizational agendas, as yet, too great to
allow us to actively support one another in common cause?

This seems to be an issue worth considering not just for this organization
in this contest, but too many others in the past as well.

We have the numbers to be a real force for change around the world, but
perhaps not the commitment to coalesce effectively to make that change
happen.

I see you commenting again, not sure if you answered my last question. Just curious. Did you vote in these contests?

GG

lol - yes. Not every day, but I wasn't posting messages wishing good luck to others when I hadn't even voted myself!

I asked people on another forum to help me understand why the lack of votes in a previous contest. I made sure people understood I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, just trying to understand the reasons so we could address them in the future. How many responses did I receive? None.

The vote is worth only 25% of the final score in this one, so I am a bit surprised they are saying they didn't win.
Judging Criteria "Total Number of Votes Received (25%); Benefit to People (25%); Fit to Program Theme (25%); and Measurable Impact (25%)."
