jwat87 - I know this is a very old post, but did you ever find a solid solution for your folate intolerance? Like you I have severe histamine intolerance and folate intolerance. I have high homocysteine but cannot take folate as it makes me feel like death. We discovered I have pretty severe dysbiosis/SIBO (gut bacteria issues) and that eating low histamine made a huge difference as the bad bacteria lets off more histamine and causes overload. Anyway, I have been so extremely fatigued with a long list of horrible symptoms for 4 years seeing every specialist in the US only to be told I am normal and it comes down to gut dysbiosis. As I start to fix dysbiosis my homocysteine is coming down, but wondered if you have any other suggestions. I have not tried methionine but am considering adding that to the batch of supplements my doc has me taking to help the gut. Thank you.
