I have 6 lots of TCN2 +/- I know that +/+ is likely to cause the worst effect........ but how many +/-'s does it take to have the same effect as a +/+ ?!
Or is that a silly question?

It all depends on what the research says. Some +/+ SNPs might have no impact at all. Ones which are missense mutations are most likely to have an impact (but not always). Sometimes +/- will have no impact at all, even if +/+ for the same SNP has a huge impact.

So basically the only way to ever know is to read the research :D
