This is a story from 2007 but still interesting. A child had a severe reaction to a smallpox vaccination given to his father. But it gets more interesting:
"disease detectives found infectious virus all over his house, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Thursday."
I wonder if this could be true of any live vaccine? The child was treated with experimental treatments that...
"included an antiviral drug made by Siga Technologies Inc., vaccinia immune globulin and the antiviral drug cidofovir, made by Gilead Sciences Inc."
