Tinnitus from methlyfolate?

Messages

When I take methlyfolate or bcomplex I get ringing in the ears for several hours. It's not too bad and goes away, but I have never had this prior to taking it. I take an equal amount of methlyb12, which by itself does not cause ringing in the ears. I've also noticed that certain foods will cause tinnitus now (certain meats like steak, porkchops) this also never happened prior. Any ideas?

I'm guessing an increase in glutamate transmission, that makes the auditory nerves more acute to environmental noises.
