summer heat and supplements

    are there any supplements that are particularly perishable at ~ 90F degrees? I don't want to put them all in the refrigerator, but some might warrant that.

    Hmmm...

    I know that SAMe is a pretty sensitive one, and expensive, so I'd prioritize that if you take it. ...Probably followed by anything that's most expensive. :)

    Stuff like fish oil, etc. can go rancid.

    I would think most minerals or stuff like that would probably survive fine.

    That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

    Good question and one I'd also like an answer to.

    I store my supplements in the coolest area in our kitchen (but it can be warm in there also in hot weather) but stuff like probiotics and liquid ones in the fridge.

    I was wondering about others like fish oil, Methylcobalmin etc too??? o_O

    My fish oil got too warm and all the capsules ended up stuck together in one big blob and were completely ruined (lost their shape and went strange).

    A specialist or pharmacist (cant remember which), told me that Melatonin keeps better long term in a fridge (if you are buying it in big lots).

    B vitamins are unstable to heat (and also light sensitive). I keep my B ampules stocks in the fridge. Probotics best in the fridge.
