Good practice for the lab to recommend stuff. the clinic is the one I was looking at for mercury chelation, very few in the UK offer DMSA/EDTA etc. I may well still end up there once my last 2 amalgams are out

You get a herx or anything from the garlic?

wow that was a lot, hope you didn't have them all out in one go.
How did you take the DMSA, I looked at suppositories earlier on this year. don't fancy the IV or oral.

I'm seeing a dentist next week re my last 2 amalgams, can you tell me what your chelation programme is. My understanding is that any mercury released stays in the bloodstream for some time before it is dumped into tissues?

Oh I've sacked the rubber dams!!!! I'm seeing one who does the full mouth wrap and sedation. I've got so ill after each removal over the past 3 yrs despite the dentist being one of the 'top' specialists, dam, separate air supply, clothes/face covers etc.. Still so much worse with mercury symptoms.
So you're not having the EDTA chelation?
Did you mention DMSO, I looked at suppositories as I don't do well on orals.

You may tolerate it better if you take it in stages rather than in one dose. This is some info I found and which I follow:

from http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682001.html

If you are using sodium bicarbonate as an antacid, it should be taken 1 to 2 hours after meals, with a full glass of water. If you are using sodium bicarbonate for another reason, it may be taken with or without food. Do not take sodium bicarbonate on an overly full stomach.

I take 2 teaspoonfuls a day, in less water than recommended (about half a pint for the day), in 4 doses a while after meals. I have no problems with it.
