Conclusion: the author may have got their PhD from the University of Newcastle, but they would have failed to get their PhD from Phoenix Rising.

But this is good. No research project or dissertation is perfect. This young scientist is having her work actually read with an attempt at understanding by a larger number of people than most (maybe 8 people have read my dissertation, if I'm lucky). Hopefully our critiques will be read to help inform future experiments, and be a useful part of the ongoing training of this young researcher.
