Has anyone been able to get a test to check for reverse transcriptase activity? I don't see any commercial labs offering this in the US. I'd be interested to hear if anyone was able to have such a test done and how they were able to get it. I've seen a number of assay kits that manufacturers sell such as this. I've also seen an HIV specific reverse transciptase viral load test called the Exavir Load which can supposedly detect any strain of HIV as it doesn't depend on genetic sequences which can be subject to mutation. That kit looks more commercial but I didn't see anywhere offering that either.
