Just when it looked like there could never be a common treatment for different cancers an experimental study at Stanford has found that injecting two different immune stimulating agents into solid tumors caused regression of that type of cancer cell throughout the body. Cancers of different type were unaffected, showing specificity. The only restriction is that the tumor must be infiltrated with immune cells in the first place. A trial in human lymphoma patients is being planned.
