I love that graph clearly showing that recovery criteria over lap with the entry criteria... what madness.

It's even better in the slides. It starts off with the original recovery criteria then drops until it's overlapping with the entry criteria. Very good visual impact.

Because they're difficult to find, I've copied Julie's presentation notes below, from the slide-show webpage. I hope Julie doesn't mind. (To see them on the slide show webpage, click on 'notes' just above the comment box.)

I don't believe this talk was video recorded but what a shame if it wasn't.
We need to get these talks on you tube as much as we can.

All we need now is for the people who should be paying attention to pay attention. That's all we've ever needed, in fact. The question is will they, when nothing or no-one is forcing them to discontinue turning a blind eye?

I want a clip of the jaws dropping, and I want it to play over and over on the internet forever.

What would force them? Presumably public pressure that Julie is applying could be helpful.

So now that the Royal Statistical Society cannot plead ignorance, it puts the ball in their court to start making some noise when they get home, or are they going to remain silent and be part of the same corrupt system that has prevailed in the UK for too long?

Who here is hoping that some of these statisticians go away, do their own analysis, and publish about PACE?

(Pick me, pick me, I wanna see this!)

Yes, the PACE trial may go into the textbooks... but not for the reasons they expected.
