I still use probiotics but looking to see what else is out there . Im limited to refridgerated ones only available in australia but others that dont need refridgerating maybe from iherb etc.
Something with many different strains and a large total in number as in billions of the buggers. be interested to see the rediculously priced and what u get for it verses a middle of the range probiotic.

cheers!!!

Have used garden of life primal defence ultra for years on and off and always been happy with it although I saw someone on here recently criticizing it and saying soil based organisms are the way to go but my understanding is it is suppose to be soil based so not sure what the deal is? Take like 5 grams (tablet form) of spirulina first thing in the morning as well with a large glass of water, suppose to be a decent probiotic as well.

Probably worth leaning about individual strains and what you are trying to get from a probiotic, just taking a high quality one is not always the best idea, think you can achieve similar results from certain foods and fermented products; not that I have tried it myself or done the research, am trying to source some raw cow or goats milk at the moment though. Hopefully someone else knows their stuff on the subject and can enlighten us.

My favourite so far is Dr Ohhiras from iherb. I think it's a matter of trying lots of different ones to work out what suits you best.

My doc gave me a pack of probiotic pearls from Integrative Therapeutics, which I actually felt do something. I think the pearl really helps the organisms get through the stomach environment. I've read online that Enzymatic Therapy probiotic pearls are the exact same thing for less, but I haven't run out of the ITs yet to check them out yet - next time.

I don't know if this is any good heapsreal - Biocare (UK professional firm) - I'm on their strongest probiotics, CoQ, and Glutathione at present and to be blunt have solids at last. We (MEers) get a small discount. Wide range of specialist supps - maybe worth a look though shipping to Aus will presumably carry extra charge.

(my Bio-Acidophilus Forte does however say refigerate/keep below 4 degrees centigrade for stability).
