QMUL psychiatrist Kam Bhui who has looked at ethnicity and chronic fatigue gets CBE (honour)

Cuzick and Bhui to receive honours from the Queen
Academics from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have been given two appointments of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) and an appointment of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), as published today in the Queen’s New Year 2017 Honours List.

Professor Kam Bhui from QMUL’s Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine said: “I am delighted and humbled at this honour for services to mental health research and care, and my work with charities, health services and universities nationally and globally. Innovations are driven by research and learning to improve societal success, reduce health inequalities, and enhance patient care and wellbeing. There is much more to be done.”

Note that the psychiatrists Peter White and Simon Wessely co-authored both papers. Those 2 individuals are particularly unpopular with a lot of the ME community. Simon Wessely has previously got a knighthood and Peter White got an OBE.

Perhaps we can create our own parallel awards system using the IgNobel's and such.
There's also a Golden Fleece award used for public servants and politicians who waste public funds.

While the above CFS studies weren't exactly high quality, they were better than nothing and help somewhat to end the myth that CFS is a white persons disease.
