We've been discussing Mitochondrial disorders and oxidative stress in relation to M.E (as well as other illnesses such as GWI)

This supplement was mentioned and i can't believe i havent seen it mentioned here before

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrroloquinoline_quinone

As well as being a powewrful antioxidant - which is waht most of us need it is also neuroprotective and can protect against excitotoxicity as well asbeing involved in the metabolism of fat. It is claimed that it can cause damaged and ageing mitochondria to regenerate - the only other way to do this is with exercise - which most of us can't do. It's been dubbed 'exercise in a pill'

All the best, Justy.

I asked my doctors a few moths ago, but the supplements they have me on work better than this. Might be ok for some to try. Everyone is different.

My functional and intergrative doctor recommended PPQ in combination with CoQ10 and I have been taking it for a year now. I also take l acetyl carnitine and R lipoic acid so I do not know which is helping with energy production but I do feel a difference. I am sticking with these for now since it is helping with stamina.
