Not sure where to post this.. so i'm going to post it here.. hope some of you can relate.

When winter seeps into a mind,

Its cold anesthetising touch

Freezes all hope that lies inside,

No love, no joy, shall matter much.

Its bleakness like a blanket lays

Across a consciousness, unheeded

Barren land it leaves behind,

No gentle thoughts of happiness are seeded.

Force of will cannot lift the weight

Its heavy burden must be borne,

To live each day in this sorry state

Is a torment all its own.

Hope is crushed in the claws of a demon who

Nameless and void in the darkness grows,

Sucking the life from the one whom is afflicted

Til nothing is left, All is morose.

Saints and sinners both alike

Suffer in its crippling, stifling hold,

Yet inner strength, a flame that’s flickering

Battles on against the cold.

You've very effectively captured some truths not least the true face of this illness.
I used to feel exactly like that but I would like to add that there is always hope and a way out, but perhaps for me it's easy to say so.
