How we can hijack the media, in four easy lessons
Love it, hate it, good story, bad story... the media are going to keep reporting on ME/CFS no matter what. But isn’t it time that we saw that coverage as an opportunity?

Well Im trialling this at my GP's advice because I think he was at a loss for any other suggestions and because I have to wait three months before I can see a specialist.
    My main problem is POTS.
So far ive found that the ginseng gives me a major mood boost about half an hour after consumption of a VERY small dose. It gives me lots more energy and does improve my standing and cognitive functions but jitteriness is an issue especially a few hours after injestion.

    Any thoughts??

Back when I was normal, I tried a small amount of ginseng and I got a huge energy boost out of it, but it made my throat feel funny. It was kind of like caffeine, but it was a lot stronger. But, hey, I got my house nice and clean - lol.

I would suggest diluting whatever amount you are taking with water, then take one drop of that. Keep diluting it until you don't get the jittery feeling. Keep track of how much you are diluting it, so you can reproduce the formula.

Good idea. The funny thing is that the doc told me it was 'mild' so I cooked up a batch of the stuff with 1 kilo of lean pork as he suggested. Ive got litres of the stuff and the dosage today was seriously only one tablespoon!!
Ill take a tiny bit tomorrow but Ive got work out how to store all the rest? Perhaps frozen in an ice tray???

If it wasn't too expensive, I would just ditch that batch and start over, otherwise freezing may be the way to go. One of those Daisy Seal a Meal things to take out the air would work too.

I've never really heard of cooking it in food before. Is it a liquid? The stuff I had was. I think it was called Peking Ginseng Royal Jelly. Got it from Chinatown in Chicago. This was about 15 years ago.

Interesting discussion. I'd assumed that ginseng, like coffeee, wasn't a good idea for us. I'm interested to hear how it continues to work for you - and the name of the "horse tonic"!

A daily vial of ginseng and royal jelly makes a difference for me. I find that it takes about 3 weeks of a daily dose to notice an improvement.
