    Syk inhibition with fostamatinib leads to transitional B lymphocyte depletion.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22284392

    Syk = spleen tyrosine kinase

    Now just for fun, imagine your own clinical trial.

    Syk inhibitors for sale:

    Offhand, it seems that anybody with a credit card can buy it?

    This trial uses up to 200mg per day: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01242514?term=oskira&rank=1

    Fostamatinib for sale:
    http://www.selleckbio.com/R935788-Fostamatinib-disodium-S2206.html

    So 200mg = a mere $5000

    I looked for a price on the lab mice to go with the drug. Wow, there must be close to 100 strains under Immunology and Inflammation Research alone. It seems like fairly big business.
