Ok so after my disaster with salt, I now take 1/4 teaspoon low salt (66%potasium 33%sodium) and a pinch of sea salt in about 250ml water 3 times a day, morning, mid day and afternoon. Before my BP was normal around 115/75 ish and poor man's tilt tests would give me a lot of yes results for POTS. I have only in the last 4 days been up to 3 glasses of this mix. And only since then have noticed a drop in BP and have not have a positive poor man's tilt test. My BP the last three days is about 105/65 ish and my pulse only rises around 10 beats when I stand for 10 mins, I still find the standing tiring, and my legs ache from it but I haven't had the acidy feeling in my feet I normally get. This change wasn't there when I was taking 2 glasses a days so I'm assuming that 3 is the magic number for me. so questions, This is good right? This is the result I was after. My BP while lower isn't low. So hopefully a few weeks of this helping to reduce the effort on my heart when I stand and i will start feeling a difference. Just really want to ask others with experience with electrolytes and self treating OI if this is normal and if there is anything I need to be looking out for. Or have I managed to mess up again? Should I be concerned about the drop in BP? Should I be adding in other electrolytes to the mix?
