Looking Ahead to Change: Little by Little
I don't make New Year's Resolutions. I don't think I ever really did, but the last decade or two would have been enough to stifle that impulse. I've just been too aware that I don't have that much control over what happens in my life.

So I just saw this and thought I'd post it. Apparently it's big news here in scandinavia. A big hospital in Sweden just got a department only dedicated to ME (there have never been a department for this illness in any hospital as far as I know, only a private place and that's a very small one) plus from what I understand of this article it is now to be called ME and not CFS, which sounds good to.

    The article: http://drstockmann.com/wp/?p=1964

The cure is supposedly cancermedication and have been tried out on a group of ME-sufferers that of which 2/3 became well again.

That's great news! But, the article you linked to is discussing the new ME case criteria; nothing about a new department at a hospital in Sweden. Did you post the correct link?

Oh, thanks for telling me. :mask:

Here's another link. It's in Norweigan but you can see what she's gone from to how she is today. It's a norweigan girl, 26 years old who got completely well on the Ritiumax (speling?) drug: http://www.tv2.no/nyheter/innenriks/helse/elene-26-ble-frisk-av-me-3519560.html

The article above is in swedish but maybe you can translate it through bablefish or something? (Don't have the energy right now to translate.)

This last article talks about the ME condiition is autoimune and the norweigan scientists also say that. Make sense since I was diagnosed with autoimmune myself this summer. :p

Found that it translates by just clikcing a link in the article so here it is in english: http://www.tv2.no/nyheter/innenriks...reakthrough-can-solve-cfsmystery-3615631.html

David Bell says it's like nothing he's ever seen in the field of ME: http://www.tv2.no/nyheter/innenriks...ejubler-norske-forskerresultater-3615541.html (Video in english)
