Review: 'Through the Shadowlands’ describes Julie Rehmeyer's ME/CFS Odyssey
I should note at the outset that this review is based on an audio version of the galleys and the epilogue from the finished work. Julie Rehmeyer sent me the final version as a PDF, but for some reason my text to voice software (Kurzweil) had issues with it. I understand that it is...

The CFIDS Foundation has put up some new research articles on their webpage:

As some here might know, the CFIDS Foundation is working on the theory that this illness is caused by very low dose ionizing radiation, which is bound to have increased in the enviroment since the advent of nuclear power plants.

I am not an insider to group. I am just a member who thinks there might be something in their theory, (though I am not 100% sure.)

As a result of hearing this theory on the cause of CFS/ME, I decided to buy a book called "Plutopia" about the building of the first nuclear power plants and how it effected the inhabitants living near them, including those who got dosed with radiation in accidents. Some of the symptoms looked very familiar to ME. So I wrote a short review of the book and how it pertains to M.E. It's been accepted :) and it will appear in their next issue.

The next issue is supposed to come out in the end of June, if all goes well.

Here are some papers on very low dose radiation and CFS from the site. It seems to tie in with the higher rate of lymphomas with this illness and even Rituximab.

I recommend to anyone who can afford it, to get a subscription to their newsletter, (as I have done). It is a good read, and it helps them raise funds for research.
