Hi always. You might want to start with reviewing the relevant sections from Heartfixer: http://www.heartfixer.com/AMRI-Nutrigenomics.htm

Your CBS homozygous defect will need to be addressed first. Eliminating sulfur and high thiol vegetables is important. Here are some references: http://livingnetwork.co.za/chelationnetwork/food/high-sulfur-sulphur-food-list/

I found this conversation very helpful when first coming to terms with sulfur:

http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1053485/sulfur-sensitivity

Sulfur-containing drugs: http://www.stuartxchange.org/Sulfa.html

Another food list: http://www.beatcfsandfms.org/html/Sulfides.html

Lysine helps detox sulfur from the body. Sorry, that's all I can do for now. If you have reasonable concentration, Amy Yasko's definitive book is available as free ebook. You can use a search function to get what you want. Heartfixer, first link above, is a consolidation of Yasko's info:
http://www.holisticheal.com/autism-pathways-to-recovery-book-and-workbook.html

If you go to your profile, you can print your SNPs into your signature, so it's easier for others to see and comment.

Best to you, ahmo

First off, there is an interpretation on your genetic genie page, you just have to scroll down past your SNPs a little. I wonder how many people are missing this?

You have three First Priority mutations - SHMT, ACAT and CBS. For SHMT, take folinic acid, for ACAT take bile salts. SHMT and ACAT are called the "leaky gut genes" and people with these mutations can have more problems with their gut. If this is you, do the 4R Gut Rebuilding program (in my signature links), and also treat SHMT and ACAT at the same time.

For CBS, you have the minor mutation, and no BHMTs, so it's less likely that CBS will be a problem for you. If you have problems tolerating methyl supps, such as a stress/anxiety reaction, or a head pressure, or problems tolerating sulfur foods, supps or meds, then CBS could be expressed. You can do further investigation with testing to confirm. The Heartfixer page has a good CBS program which I've used successfully, except for I used the Free Thiol diet and no Yasko RNA supps.

You have MTHFR A1298C, so some methylfolate for that. You have MTRR which is B12 recycling, so some B12 for that. For your COMT/VDR combo, Yasko suggests all three types of B12 (hydroxy, methyl and adenosylcobalamin) with less methylcobalamin.

VDR Bsm is the Vitamin D Receptor, so get your vit D checked and supplement if low.

MAO A affects serotonin. Yasko suggests waiting until the rest of the cycle is in balance, then if you're still having problems supplement with a low level of 5htp. This is contraindicated if you're on SSRI/SNRI's.

In general, watch/read all the links in my signature, especially Start Low and Go Slow.

I think I read somewhere that Genetic Genie has removed the health interpretation now, but still provides the panel.
