I get the sense that Quackwatch is rather deferential to certain types of authority. Sadly, some sceptics are more concerned with just criticising 'alternative' medicine, rather than criticising all medical claims which go beyond, or are unsupported by, the evidence, regardless of whether they come from 'alternative' or 'mainstream' medicine. Is quackwatch connected to the Frank Furedi lot? I always forget those sorts of connections.
