Ok I know this has been around for a while and a lot of people here have already discussed it but it is some thing that just keeps coming up again and again when researching cfs. The claim is that mycoplasma is the root cause of many cases of cfs and other 'mysterious' illnesses with no known cure. The more you dig the more you realise there may be something to it. There are some big players involved. At one time a Prof Engel who was at the head of one of the U.S major health Depts. said he believed mycoplasma was the cause of cfs, and that he had the documents to back it up. I have also read of many claims of cures from treating it. I have also read of many that greatly improve while on the treatment but relapse when going off it, as it can be very hard to eradicate. Reading stories are one thing but I'd like to ask people here if they or know of anyone who has done any of the following •ever had a PCR tests for mycoplasma? •tried treating it? •retested afterwards?
