Minocycline depression

Has anyone tried Minocycline for its microglial inhibiting properties? I tried this medication and did experience some relief, however it was accompanied by crushing depression. Has anyone here ever experienced this. I am wondering if doxycyline would be any different.

I tried minocycline many years ago and had a horrible reaction to it. Depression, agitation, paranoia. My husband (watching too much TV) actually slapped me in the face. Needless to say I got rid of both of them and never regret it to this day.
