3mg is way too much, try a smaller dose!
I was taking sleeping pills that helped my sleep but it was still broken all night. When I added melatonin I was able to sleep most of the night. I started at 3mg time release, and gradually took it up to 12mg. My doctor approved me taking 12mg. I might try dropping it to 9mg and see how I do.
