Clinical psychologists have raised the alarm over a controversial piece of research led by a Labour peer, with one saying it “lets austerity off the hook” as a cause of mental health problems.

The London School of Economics study led by Lord Richard Layard, published in early December, found that failed relationships and physical and mental illness were bigger causes of misery than poverty.

Objective measures make things so complicated, though. How can you have policy-based evidence when you're using objective measures?

Sums it up well

Politicians 9 times out of ten end up being the "sock puppets" of the real Powers Behind The Throne as it were, with the Elite having their hand up the arse of the politicians and making them support what the Elite want

note how many politicians in UK/USA have degrees etc in science, mathematics etc? Yeah VERY damn few.
How many genuinely WERE "ordinary folk", again, very damn few.

Democracy is doomed decaying and about to burn and flame out, only hope that whoever might survive makes seeking re-election a CAPITAL offence, seriously, as that desire to stay in power is largely what empowers the corruption :/
1 term, ever, ONLY, no more "revolving doors" either or ANY links with business etc ever AFTER leaving office.

Way it works is, Politician Mr Rat Bastardus, arranges tax breaks for Corporation B, and , ensures Health Insurance Company C has secret support that denies the medical claim of the chronically ill or those harmed by industrial pollutants etc
When Politician Rat Bastardus leaves power, and if he's done enough dirty deeds or has enough blackmail on folk he'll have "honours" as well, and the corporations fit him up with all these cushy non-existing jobs
he only has to turn up for shareholder meetings or the like 4 times a year, and earns at least £10,000 per year, and that's the BOTTOM end of the scale, for a Cabinet Minister, talking £50,000+ per year for their "services"

the "expenses scandal" in the Uk was NOTHING, the real money those scum make on the side is as I explained, please go check up on it, the amount they can make is staggering, and often they arrange it so spouses, siblings etc get these positions so it isn't too obvious to the brainwashed public, they arrange each other to get these mice cushy earners.

So we are being MURDERED to keep politician scum in corrupt corporate back handers which they can spend on cocaine, prostitutes, mansion houses...and far FAR worse things.
