Hello, let me give you a short overview, I am 23 years old, male, from Kiev, Ukraine. I had some sorts of fatigue and emotional problems like depression, anxiety, sleep and memory problems from at least 14 years old. Fatigue was sometimes so strong, that I am half a day lying in bed, which gave me problems at school and university. I went to a therapist, when i was 17 years old and he prescribed me antidepressants which help at first, but then I stopped noticing effect from them and stopped to take it.

About three years ago I began a slow deterioration. Already before that I had several times candida. I started having problems with irritable bowel. I did not attach special significance because it was episodic, and then after a while I started to feel a sore throat that does not go so far. I appealed to the ENT specialist, who found infection and also Candida in the throat, and treated it with antibiotics. I was at the gastroenterologist, urologist, proctologists without the results. Then I started having headaches, brain fog, and the feeling similar to the heat in the head, often in the evening (when it was becoming very difficult to think or talk), pain in the arms, legs, neck, shoulders, pain in the mouth and deadly fatigue . For almost a year I do not work, and most of the time sitting at home.

I went to the infectious diseases specialist and eventually they found EBV IgM slightly above normal, that I treated 10 days of IV Medovir (Acyclovir), Riboxin, Asparkam, Piracetam, Ascorbic acid, Dexamethasone, Reosorbilact, L-Lysine aescinate, Ribavirin. I felt a lot better after a couple of days, I quietly got up in the morning at 8 o'clock (I do not remember when that was last time), I've lost my fatigue, anxiety, I cleared my sinuses and it was better with gut, I started to eat a lot (I have poor appetite), but also I get a lot of back acnes and stronger brain fog (herx?). A week after this I woke and felt that the effect was gone, there was a huge difference. Again, I could not get out of bed in the morning for 1-2 hours, I am feeling like a zombie and don't have appetite. I continued to take Valtrex without effect, then PCR showed the absence of virus in the blood. I think it may be detox effect, doctor could not really say anything to me, because there is no more EBV. Most doctors here simply wish to obtain more money from the patient, and/or if they do not understand the problem, pretending it does not exist, and look at me as if I were making this up, or they say: "go to another specialist". I've spent a lot of time and money on useless advices and medications. Now I take MB12, Methyl Folate, Multivitamins for a month without any significant results. Also I tried Glutathione Reduced, and for two days I lost fatigue, has better appetite, and felt better at all, but then the effect is gone. I guess I have candida in the gut, in the throat and constant intoxication, I think this is the main factor that makes my life miserable now, in addition to some sort of genetic problems.

And now, in fact, I know there are users from Ukraine at this forum (@Andey ,...), who are experiencing similar problems, and maybe someone will advise me good doctors, ideally those who recognize ME/CFS and can do a comprehensive treatment, or a good Infectious disease specialist / immunologist / Candida specialist, a doctor who can diagnose. I would be glad of any help.

The trouble with taking a lot of different new drugs or supplements together is that if benefits (or side effects) do occur, it is hard to know which medications are responsible.

A lot of these drugs you took can have significant beneficial effects for ME/CFS.

For example, corticosteroids like dexamethasone can rapidly reduce symptoms, piracetam can rapidly improve cognition, and ribavirin is a potent antiviral for enteroviruses that can improve symptoms within a week or two.

It may be an idea to take the above three again individually, at note the benefits that arise.
