ME/CFS Awareness Day is today. What is a simple thing you can do? E-mail President Obama and ask him to keep his promise. Priscilla has drawn an attention-getting cartoon. Just three easy steps: http://forum.mcwpa.org/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=922

We have patients busy doing demonstrations in Washington, visiting Congressmen and testifying before the CFSAC this week. Those of us at home can do our part.

Be sure and help spread this video to others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_elj8mcd9Ak
Some volunteers with MCWPA participated in this demonstration.

We are pleased to announce the MCWPA public service announcement is being aired in Augusta Georgia since April 25 on the ABC station. So far, it is being aired an average of four times a day. Look for it in more stations in that market. Also, we expect it will be aired in IOWA, Vermont and a long version in West Michigan. A 20-minute version is expected to be aired in New York City. If you would like to help in distributing the public service announcement, e-mail volunteers@mcwpa.org. We will give you the simple instructions. We are answering the requests gradually.

Just wanted to mention, there was a very tiny blurb in More magazine this month about Laura Hillenbrand and it said something like CFS is a "devastating and disabling disease". So at least it was mentioned anyway. I haven't heard anything else, anywhere today, but I haven't really looked around for it.

Found this Oxford Times article about the Oxfordshire ME Group for Action (OMEGA) planned activities for awareness day. It's got a good bit about the severity of ME/CFS.

Good article.
To be honest I'm surprised pr hasn't been more active this awareness week and especially today - awareness day.
Are we all too sick to get involvedlwith advocacy?
Or is it that we are so fed up with no success in the past that we are not even trying?

In my case, way too sick this year. Normally, I would have posted on my website or done a video on Youtube, but I've been way too sick. I'm just barely able to do survival mode.
